 Spotting skin cancer:

  • Melanoma:

Melanoma can appear in normal skin, it often develops in a preexisting mole or other dark spot. Examine your moles at home and look for these ABCDs:

  1. Asymmetry: One half of the mole do not appear like the other half. 
  2. Border irregularity: The edges are ,blurred and ragged or irregular, and the pigment may spread into the surrounding skin.  
  3. Color. The mole may have shades of black, brown or areas of white, gray, red, pink or blue. 
  4. Diameter: Melanomas are typically larger than a pencil eraser, although early melanomas may be smaller .Also look for changes in the surface of a mole, scaliness,oozing, bleeding,  appearance of  bump, or pain.

 Basal cell carcinoma (BCC):

 This may appear as a small, smooth, shiny or a bump that’s whitish to pink in color.

Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC):

 This type of skin cancer appears as a , crusty, scaly or wart-like bump, ranging in size from a pea to a chestnut.

Guarding against dry skin:

With age, oil glands become less active.  Your skin is less ready to recharge the oils and liquids eliminated by cleanser and water. To guard against the effects of bathing, try these tips: 

  •  Limit frequency:

 Bathing once a day is sufficient. 

  •  Limit time and temperature:

 Use warm water for a maximum of 15 minutes. 

  •  Select soaps carefully :
Choose super fatted, non sudsing soaps that clean without removing natural oil.
  •  limit use of soap :

Limit use of soap to your face, under arms, genital areas,hands and feet.

  •  Pat dry, don’t rub :

When toweling dry, pat your skin gently.

  •  Seal in moisture :
 While still damp, lubricate your skin with a cream or an oil, especially on your arms, legs , back and sides.

 Controlling dandruff:

Keep in mind that your hair is your second face so you have to take care of it all the time we know that one of the common problems that you suffer from is dandruff you can try these suggestions to control dandruff:

 Shampoo regularly :
Start with a mild, non medicated shampoo. Gently massage your scalp.
•  For stubborn cases use medicated shampoo  
Look for those containing  zinc, salicylic acid, coal tar or selenium sulfide.
 Use tar-based shampoos carefully:
 These shampoos are strong dandruff deterrents, but they can make your scalp very sensitive and they also leave a brownish stain on light-colored or gray hair.
 Treat your hair gently:
 Use a conditioner and massage coconut oil or argan oil into your hair.
 See a dermatologist:
 If dandruff  becomes irritated you should visit a doctor.
